Summer Bucket List

June 29
There are some fun things to do this evening. Get a hold of some of your friends and head out to the Grand Coulee Dam Laser Light Show!
Its 4.5 hours away so make sure you have an adult to drive with you... but I've heard its worth its drive!
They have a light show every night...
The laser light show is held nightly at Grand Coulee Dam starting the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend through September 30. The show lasts about 36 minutes and is free of charge. Show times are:
  • Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend to July 31 at 10:00 p.m.
  • August 1 to August 31 at 9:30 p.m.
  • September 1 to September 30 at 8:30 p.m.
The best location to watch the laser show is from the visitor center at the dam and from the park below the visitor center. An outdoor sound system is provided.

For something a little more local,
Today at 3:30 the Library is having a letterbox and stamp carving event today at 3:30
For more information, visit the website for Summer Reading - Letterboxing and Stamp Craving.

Another fun thing to do today would be to get out and go to a fun restaurant with some friends for some appetizers, some root-beer floats or more!
Applebees has half off appetizers after 4pm and red robin has some great floats and more!

Summer Bucket List

June 27
Hope your weekend was awesome.
Lets make this a great Monday!
Its not too late to go out and help someone today.
Take a look at our Service Project Page .
There are so many opportunities to serve others available to us.

Make a few sandwiches and hand them to someone you see while driving today.
Make it a mission to help someone today that you know needs help.
When you get your Starbucks, buy an extra and hand it to someone you see that is needy or stop by and bless a friend that might be having a rough week....

Pray that God will give you an opportunity to serve and I know that He will!
Let me know what kinds of things you and your friends do!

Psalm 82:4
Rescue the weak and needy;
Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.

You may be the only bible others get to read. Lets be a light to the world around us every day.

Summer Bucket List

June 26
Happy Sunday!
(So glad its not raining...)

Romans 12:10 "Be devoted to each other like a loving family.
Excel in showing respect for eachother."
How is your family life? Are you caring for others; respecting them? In order to have relationships with others and family that are taught to us throught the Bible, we need to create an atmosphere that welcomes, reaches out to, and includes others.
1 Thessalonians 5:14 (MSG): "Gently encourage the stragglers, and reach out for the exhausted, pulling them to their feet. Be patient with each person, attentive to individual needs."
When we connect with others we grow to new levels and become more and more Christ-like.
Romans 12:5 "In the same way, eventhough we are many individuals, Christ makes us one body and individuals who are connected to eachother."

Take today to spend time with a family member that you might not have cared for as well as you  could have, or would have, or should have. Maybe call up an old friend or someone from youth group and share a meal together. Spen some time catching up or playing games. Spend some time in the word and maybe rent a movie!
There are many great Christian movie on netflix and at the local rental place as well! For you girls you could go get a pedicure, and get you toes ready for some sunny weather ahead (hopefully). And Boys there are some fun batting cages, or disc golf courses as well... Not that you can't get your toes done too! (you might like a nice pedicure... you know your feet could use a massage)
Make it a blessed day and have fun in fellowship with family!

That doesn't sound half bad!

Still a nice day for a picnic indoor or outdoor!
Get creative, who says you can't have a picnic inside if it is rainy, pick a spot with a window or a great view and share some snacks and sandwiches on a fun blanket.
There are some great parks in town that have some covered areas with picnic benches as well, the possibilities are endless!

Get your friends together for a fun picnic, have everyone bring a fun snack to share!

Some Fun Picnic Bring-Along Must Haves!
