Summer Bucket List

July 6
What a beautiful day! Finally, summer seems like it is going to stick around :)
Today is supposed to be warm... 82 degrees (hope you're prepared)

There are lots of ways to battle the heat and have a good time today...

1.  You could have a pool party, or a sprinkler party (they both sound equally fun!)
At your sprinkler party you can make a slip n' slide out of old blue tarps and tear free shampoo
All you need is a couple of friends, some tarps, soap, water, and some music!
That sounds like a party I'd like to be at!

2. You can go get some ice cream or frozen yogurt to chill out!
Bring a board game or some cards and play at the yogurt, or ice cream shop while you eat!
Banana Grams, Scrabble, or Checkers are fun to bring along.
Invite someone there to play with you and your friends and bless someone new today!

Remember that you are a light to the world. Bring Christ's light that is in you to your community in all you do... Make it a great day!

Hope your weekend was awesome.
Lets make this a great Monday!
Its not too late to go out and help someone today.
Take a look at our Service Project Page .
There are so many opportunities to serve others available to us.

Make a few sandwiches and hand them to someone you see while driving today.
Make it a mission to help someone today that you know needs help.
When you get your Starbucks, buy an extra and hand it to someone you see that is needy or stop by and bless a friend that might be having a rough week....

Pray that God will give you an opportunity to serve and I know that He will!
Let me know what kinds of things you and your friends do!

Psalm 82:4
Rescue the weak and needy;
Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.

You may be the only bible others get to read. Lets be a light to the world around us every day.

June 26
Happy Sunday!
(So glad its not raining...)

Romans 12:10 "Be devoted to each other like a loving family.
Excel in showing respect for eachother."
How is your family life? Are you caring for others; respecting them? In order to have relationships with others and family that are taught to us throught the Bible, we need to create an atmosphere that welcomes, reaches out to, and includes others.
1 Thessalonians 5:14 (MSG): "Gently encourage the stragglers, and reach out for the exhausted, pulling them to their feet. Be patient with each person, attentive to individual needs."
When we connect with others we grow to new levels and become more and more Christ-like.
Romans 12:5 "In the same way, eventhough we are many individuals, Christ makes us one body and individuals who are connected to eachother."

Take today to spend time with a family member that you might not have cared for as well as you  could have, or would have, or should have. Maybe call up an old friend or someone from youth group and share a meal together. Spen some time catching up or playing games. Spend some time in the word and maybe rent a movie!
There are many great Christian movie on netflix and at the local rental place as well! For you girls you could go get a pedicure, and get you toes ready for some sunny weather ahead (hopefully). And Boys there are some fun batting cages, or disc golf courses as well... Not that you can't get your toes done too! (you might like a nice pedicure... you know your feet could use a massage)
Make it a blessed day and have fun in fellowship with family!
June 25
Today its supposed to clear up and we should be able to enjoy some outdoors.
Travel Day!
Today is a great day to go on a road-trip. If you don't have a car its a great time to spend some time with your parents. This is also a fun opportunity to ride the train.

Check out there rates here Ticket Info.
There are lots of fun places to go, and new things to see.
You can take the train round trip for about 25 dollars to  lots of fun places. Make a day of it!
Take some fun picture and post it on here!
You can get food on the train, they have great seating, and a easy schedule.
Going up to Bellingham or Snoqualmie Falls! These will have endless views and lots of fun! Bring some cards, A board game, and some music and you have a day of fun...

June 21
School is out! Some of you are probably thinking to yourself, I have no idea where to start when it comes to figuring out what to do with all of your extra time!
If this is you, we have the solutions:

1. Check in here daily for fun ideas on how to entertain yourselves and things to do with friends and family!

2. Do something!

Today's Activity:
On a warm day like this its time for a SLURPEE!
There is nothing more satisfying for your pallet then a cool Slurpee on a summer day!
Get some friends and go get a Slurpee and some snacks from the gas station or 7eleven near you.
And while your there look for a red box, or go to block buster, they are usually not far from each other. Find a great movie with the perfect snack to kick off the summer with some rest and relaxation from finals and spend some time catching up with friends and family by making an intermission to the movie to snack and talk about the movie etc.

Make it a great day and let us know if you had a movie night of your own! Post a picture on FB of your experiences, we look forward to hearing about your summer fun!
